I have heard the horror stories also (I assume you are speaking of 
Renaissance) but I have never had a problem with the Vitesse programs. I 
like the graphic displays of Renaissance and Deliverance.  Also, I like 
Deliverance better than Prosel because Prosel always restores files and 
directories that were deleted (I deleted them on purpose), Deliverance 
leaves it deleted.  If you want to undelete a file or directory, use an 
undelete program...  Also, when fixing a disk or directory, if prosel 
runs into a file that it doesn't know how to deal with (such as invalid 
storage type or illegal character in filename) it skips the 
file...Deliverance gives you the option of editing the file entry, 
deleting the file completely, or skipping it.  Much more user friendly if 
you ask me.
