Re: Apple-E Mailing List

It's pretty much the same thing as this newsgroup, but it's on Fidonet.
Fewer messages, fewer "pro's".

Used to be relatively 'noisy'; it's not anymore.

Used to be fairly discouraged by folks from here. If it still is, I might
make it available as a mailing list, but not gate it to the group in public.

It's moderated, post-hoc. That is, the posts aren't run through a moderating
site first, but they're monitored for flames and off-topic problems, and the
people involved told to stop or lose access. Since I took the moderating
over this second time, six months ago, I haven't had to do anything other
than remind. It's pretty much self-policing. We currently have users in
Netherlands and Germany, have had some regulars from Japan and Hong Kong.

It's for anything Apple II related, including ///'s.

So far I've had a few requests as a list, and one or two who'd support the
public gating effort. I haven't had any negative responses about the latter,
but it wouldn't take many to dissuade me. It would be 'invading', after all.
