No it doesn't.  I've had one sitting on the shelf doing nothing
for about 3-4 years.  Anyone interested?  Make me an offer.  (It's
zero populated, but can take 4Meg).

Upgrading to a DMA-compatible card will only help if you have a hard
drive controller that actually uses it.  For example, if you have a 
RAMFast, getting the DMA card will help, but not if you only use a
Vulcan.
