Re: OFFICIAL:HyperCard IIgs on ftp sites

HERE'S THE NEWEST INFORMATION I HAVE FROM APPLE:

The files were encoded with BinHex by Apple for a couple of reasons:
	(a) they can be mailed more easily than by other means, according
		to Apple
	(b) Fetch recognizes them and uncompresses them somewhat.

These are protocols Apple has adopted for all of their ftp stuff. Don't
ask me why (binscii used to work just fine for me on ftp.apple.com.)

To change directories, you will have to
	(a) log in to the ftp site (ftp.support.apple.com)
	(b) cd /pub
	(c) cd "Apple SW Updates"
	(d) cd "Apple II"
	(e) cd "HyperCard IIGS" (or whatever it's called)

REMEMBER: Any directories you type in from the keyboard, that have
spaces in them (like the ones above), need to be in quotes. That's how
A/UX (Apple Unix, the OS for the server) recognizes the directories as
valid names.

Good luck.

T Y
