That *&%#*# StleWriter driver

I think I'm going to scream.....

Earlier this evening I piced up a used Stylewriter printer (not a
StyleWriter II), sine the price was godd, and I had been needing a new
printer anyway.

No problem I figured, since I have the driver with sys 6.01, I should be
just plug & play.....

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the driver installed, and it recognises the printer OK, but about 90%
of the time it refuses to print. I issue a print command an AWGS, the
printer hums & makes some noise while the screen says 'printinc a copy of
page 1' Then, just as the paper is beginning to feed in I get the message
"A serious eror has occured, printing will be canceled" So I click OK, and
of course, printing is then canceled & the printer spits out a blank shhet
of paper. In about 30 tries I have managed to print ONE plain text page,
and ONE simple Page Layout document, both from AWGS. Any thing else just
stops & gives that same infernal error message - esp. graphics files, it
seems to choke on those right away.

Is the StyleWriter driver really THAT bad, or do I have some oter problem.
I heard that the driver had some problems, but this is rediculous.

Does anyone else make a StyleWriter driver?

I can take this thing back, so if anyone has a suggestion for some other
small, cheap printer that migt work better, let me know. (StyleWriter II?)

Anyway, I would appreciat any comments/suggestions, I'm about ready to take
the printer & hit it with a sledgehammer. Hmmmm, well maybe just the
DRIVER!!!

Thanks.....
