Why don't you just set it up to boot into a ProDOS-8 program launcher 
(like ProSel-8) and have the first launcher entry be GS/OS? That way it 
will be boot up on either machine and GS/OS is only a Return keystroke away.

BTW, are you sharing a single drive between two Apple IIs _at the same 
time_? Or just switching back and forth between the two? If the former, how?
