//gs & //e -> same HD
I've got an Apple //e connected to a Maxtor 200meg Hard Drive via a
RamFast with v2.? ROM. I run my BBS on this system.
I wish to keep the BBS on the //e, but would like to access the 200meg
Hard Drive from the Apple //gs. Presently the //gs has an Apple Rev.C
SCSI card in it. If I were to replace it with another RamFast, could I
access the 200megger from the //gs?
I seem to recall that you could do it with the old CMS SCSI cards where
you could set the SCSI ID of the computer (or host) system. I'm thinking
that with the HD set to SCSI ID #6, if I set the Apple //e for SCSI ID #1
and the //gs for SCSI ID #2, I should be able to do it, right? However,
I don't think you can reset the SCSI ID # of the host with a RamFast SCSI
controller.
Any insights would be appreciated. Email with cross-post back to the
newsgroup is also preferred since news at this site is un-reliable and
crossposting it back to the group would allow others to learn and cut
down on the "me too" email messages to me.
Thanks,
