Steven Nelson (snelson@blue.weeg.uiowa.edu) screamed from comp.sys.apple2:
[chop]
: I'll wait for 24 hours for replies to my earlier post. At that time
: I'll either delete the files in question or shut down the FTP site
: until Ian and Charles settle the matter in court. Whichever option
: gets the most support in the next 24 hours wins. Grind/apple2 loses,
: either way. :-(
I personally don't believe Grind loses if it deletes sector-edited,
illegally disassembled and modified duplicates. What it does is prove that
a2 authors still have their legal rights without having to bitch to get them.
The solution: Delete the files. Simple. Very very simple. And legally sound!
Bigger solution: Delete ALL related files. Then, ftp sites that can actually
discern original, copyrighted programs from fakes without threating to shut
down can provide us with them.
