A2FX, HFSLINK, and Apple 300 CD-ROM on a //e

Is is possible to daisy-chain a Apple 300 CD-ROM on a //e using a HS SCSI
card and use one or both above programs to transfer files off of the CD-ROM
disk to a ProDOS hard disk partition? I am regularly getting CDs from Apple
User Group connection, and I would like to offer these programs on my BBS,
but I really don't want to seek out a Mac with a CD-ROM drive to do the
file transfer using Apple File Exchange, or worse, buy a Mac! I know
HFSLINK may have a problem with the 32meg partition limit if ProDOS
attempts to divide the CD into 32meg sections, but does A2FX suffer from
this flaw? Has ANYONE EVER written a CD-ROM driver for ProDOS 8 for the
Apple HS SCSI card? I know a ramfast driver exists for the Rev.D card, or
mabey the Rev.C card, but what about the Apple card? In the SCSI manual, one
can daisy-chain specifically a CD-ROM, scanner, and a LaserWriter to the
card, but alas, Apple never wrote the software. Typical! Any help on this is
appreciated!!!
