Can I use an Apple RGB monitor with a PC?
Probably the answer is "no", but I would very much like it to be "yes"
so I thought I would ask anyway.
I'm getting a PC system any day now, but the monitor is on backorder
and may not arrive for as much as 6 weeks. Since I do not want my
system to be sitting around collecting dust for that time, I would
REALLY like to be able to use my Apple RGB monitor with it. Does
anyone have any idea how I might accomplish this?
Details: The system is a P-90 with an ATI mach64 video card. The
monitor is currently hooked to my Apple IIGS. As far as I know, it's
just called the "Apple RGB monitor". It has a 15-pin video connector.
The monitor I ordered is the NEC 5FGp, but it is on backorder from NEC
and I can't find any place that has it in stock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would much prefer email
responses. I'd be happy to forward a summary to the group if there is
interest.
Thanks again.
