Don't be so quick. The accident occurred in 1981. It gave him a
concussion and some memory problems (doesn't remember being in
the hospital)... Afterwards he got his EE degree at Berkely
(under an assumed name). Then put on the US Festival in 1982.
Came back to Apple in June 1983.

He was involved in the Apple IIx project and in the design
of the Apple IIGS. Since then... I've seen a segment about
him on that 'Lifestyles' show.
