The Apple High Speed card (with DMA enabled) transfers around 250KB per
second in typical circumstances (GS/OS, large transfers), more like
500KB in ideal circumstances. It is possible to get up to a megabyte
a second with specially written software.

With DMA disabled, the high speed card will be about as slow as the
original one (possibly a little faster).

An Apple 3.5 Drive transfers raw data at 500 kilobits per second, or
62.5KB per second. After allowing for decoding, the maximum data
transfer rate is 46KB per second. This is only theoretical. The
usual transfer rate will be more like 25KB per second.

A 5.25" drive is about half this speed (maximum 23KB per second,
typical 12.5KB per second, ignoring track stepping).
