AppleShare 3.0.1 & System 6.0.1
I discovered that an Apple IIgs running System 6.0.1 refuses to boot from
an AppleShare 3.0.1 Network. I did all the relevant system installs on
the GS side of things, and ditto for the Mac, even using the new Apple II
Setup Disk on apple's support site. (which claims to work with System 6).
Now I know this whole procedure works because I tried it with System 5.0
(!), and it booted up fine.
With System 6.0, it keeps asking me to insert the disk "Andronicus" - the
Macintosh Hard disk- midway during the thermometer bootup display.
CLicking on cancel eventually makes it go away, but then presents a
dialog box saying "GS/OS requires the 3.5"Apple drivers to work" - or
something to that effect. On examination of the Mac Hard drive, such a
driver does exist in the system folder (created for the IIgs).
Does anyone (at apple?) know whats going on?
Has anyone managed to get a IIgs running 6.0.1 to boot off a Mac running
AppleSHare 3.0?
Regards, Jamie
