Not liking the web does not imply luddite hatred of any web-like system.
Some people may have very valid reasons for being dissatisfied with WWW.
You don't have to address them and convince them they're wrong (don't
waste your time on it) ! But it is not irrelevant.

No, it is _exactly_ the point. Using the Internet is not and should not be
a platform specific activity. If you create a net-newbie group you'll
probably get lots of traffic, most of it non-Apple-II by sheer numbers.
Everyone has to have been a newbie at some point, no matter what computer they
own. But the vast majority of Apple II computer users _on_comp.sys.apple2_
are NOT newbies. Your message is more appropriate in a national school
newsletter than here.

Joe, we aren't arguing with how sold you are on the concept of WWW. What
we are complaining about is how you make great wash statements like "ftp
sucks, it's your duty to learn ncftp because it's better" and "WWW will
save the educational installed base of IIgs's from being chucked in a BFI
dumpster, so it's our duty to ram it down everyone's throats" ... yes I
am exaggerating, but read your own posts and try to understand why we
aren't exactly caught up in your enthusiasm...
