Yeah, you can clean keyboards, and even wash them in soap
and water, as long as you dont have then submerged for long
periods of time, say long enough to make the board swell
which is >30-60 min.  In fact, as long as most electronics
(boards) are not powered up, they can be cleaned with soap
and water---in fact, this is how recovery is done when there
is a fire or smoke damage at installations .....
