That depends on whether or not the Event Manager is active.

If the Event Manager is active, the buffered keystrokes are stored in the
event queue.  If the Event Manager is not active, keystrokes are buffered
inside the ADB microcontroller.

To defeat Minax, you'll need the best arms and armor you can get.  It
helps if you have a quick blade...

You're probably getting blown off course by the good ol' random number
generator.  Just persevere, and make sure you have pleny of dilithium
(or trilithium, or whatever they're called) crystals and an ankh.

(A fun game.  Has some amusing bugs, like the infinite sailing ship
generator...)
