AppleWriter is not in the public domain. The copyright on the
AppleWriter II 2.1 ProDOS version is held by author Paul Lutus,
who has agreed (thanks to Tim Tobin of GEnie Lost Classics
project) to make it freely distributable, as long as
noone is making money out of it. Apple Computer Inc. holds
the copyright on all other versions of AppleWriter.

AppleWriter 2.1 is available somewhere on an ftp site, in .shk
format, and of course on GEnie in the A2 library. Can someone
with a better memory name the ftp site?
