Oh jeez...so after Quality goes belly-up, all future Apple II owners are 
just gonna have to do without Appleworks???  Unless they can get someone 
to re-write a similar package from scratch??  Isn't that violating the 
very SAME copyright you are trying to protect so vehemently???  

And tell me...just who are you gonna get to write anything for the 8-bit 
apple anymore?  Most developers nowadays wouldn't even know what an Apple 
II is...

I am by no means condoning "piracy" on the Apple II...tho that is 
basically a contridiction in terms in itself.
