You have blown the termpower fuse on the Quantum. If you really want
to use the Quantum alone with the HS SCSI, you'll have to modify your
HS SCSI card to correctly supply term power (hook up a diode from
+5 on the HS SCSI card to the termpower pin on the card's SCSI connector).
