Microprocessors Unlimited no longer stock the Sony CXK58258P-35 chips that I
purchased last time. In addition International Micro Devices, the source
suggested in the ZIP.FAQ file, no longer sell *any* static ram chips.
Does anyone know where can I find 62256-35 (or faster) static ram chips for my
ZIP ? I need the .6 mil part.
My soldering skills aren't up to the task of changing sockets. I remember a
rumor that (.6 mil to .3 mil) socket adapters can be used to let you switch to
the smaller, more readily found .3 mil SRAM. Was that just a rumor or are such
sockets really available ?
Thanks.
