Good info -- thanks. I moved a little closer to stand-alone capability today; I found an Apple ADB keyboard (brand new w/warranty) for $70 at a local computer store. Also hooked up a high-current power supply and it worked. Good news about the Apple support site; I had been worried about how to get the //gs disks in readable format without a set of //gs disks to start with. --Greg
