Re: Timelord Demo
I don't know what it was, but the GS had a definite appeal. I mean,
a feeling one got from using it. The Amiga shares a simlar appeal. I
remember when I got it home from the store. The sound!! So fine!! (I
even bought a Gravis UltraSound for my current PC without hearing it
based on the fact that its chip is a direct copy of the Ensoniq DOC-I,
(oops -- that's DOC-II) -- a followup of the GS's DOC). I sold mine before
ever any of the demos came out even, or good games. SeaStrike was the
big game (ugh -- how sorry!!). Defender of the Crown was the only good
game I had -- and it was FINE. I sold it for an Atari ST, and inferior
machine. Then I went Amiga (I had owned an Amiga 1000 before, the first
one sold in VA to be exact), and stayed that way pretty much until I
hit the PC world (read my SIG).
I would like one today. No $$ for one tho. It is good to see people
so active on the group abotu it (usenet). Anyway, my $.02.
