AppleWorks to Mac (?)

Before giving my Apple IIGS to my parents, I took off all my
Appleworks files and, to save space, copied them onto a HD Mac disk.
I figured that I'd be able to open them using Works, but I can't.

Is there a way to reopen them on a GS after copying them back to a
disk my GS will recognize, or open them on the Mac and convert them to
Works (or some other program) files?  Most of them are word
processing, but some are database files and some are spreadsheets.
