Greetings again,
Thanks for the responses, and since this machine appears to work I'll
pass on the offer for $20. ;-) I got the thing hooked up to a monitor and
found some DOS and system stuff which appears to do 'something', so I guess
its a keeper. A few 'dumb' questions (I do VMS and such) if you don't mind.
Why is it I'm taken back to the gool o'l days of 40 column mode when I load
a DOS 3.3 System Master disk? Once I get to a ] prompt, what next?? What is
the 80/40 button for? How bout the keyboard one? Can I assume the reset
button doesnt work since nothing happens when I push it?
I've been around enuff Mac's to be able to read Apples nifty icons for
what plug-in in the back goes to what, but can I assume that I can really
plug a mouse in and expect it to work? Just what does a IIc have in it
anyways? Memory? CPU? expandability? Is it a fantasy to hope that this Apple
DOS and MS-DOS are in anyway inter-change/useable?
If nothing else, I'd like to give it to my 5 year old to use (I'd rather
he use his own than mine ;).... is there some good stuff out there for
someone his age that would work on this thing?
