There are switches that let you select whether the RS-232 is for post
script commands or for Diablo 610 emulation mode. Of course, you need to
have the port on the PC configured properly and if you use postscript mode
your PC application has to know how to do this as well. Otherwise, a
standard RS-232 printer cable should work for you. Did you get the docs for
the printer? This stuff is detailed there.
