Phillip "Ty" Young (tyoung@jove.acs.unt.edu) screamed from comp.sys.apple2:
: I got a HS SCSI card (Apple) as part of a GS system I bought, but now I
: am having a great deal of difficulty getting the HD (Mac-formatted; it's
: a SuperMac DataFrame 20 ext SCSI) to talk to the card (low-level
: formatting must be weird for my IIgs). It just occurred to me that the
: HS SCSI card would have come with software, and I need it...can anyone
: e-mail it to me ? THanks!
: TY
I had purchased the HS SCSI card and it DID come with IIe and IIgs software
- however the IIgs softs weren't any more than AdvDiskUtil, Installer, and
the appropriate drivers. There wasn't any low level formatter included.
(Also, they were for 5.0.4, so you'd still be better off taking them off
your System 6.x.x disks)
Also, check and make sure you're terminated properly. I had bought an HD
which had previously been used on a Mac, and I had thought it was the same
problem (low level format), but actually, they'd removed the internal
termination line.
