Well, instead of bothering to try to convert them , which may not work
depending on the file because some regularly shrunk files shouln't be
transfered ASCII, just get a new Comm program. There are plenty out
there. If you don't want to spend much money, look for ZLink. It's
ShareWare, and it has VT100 emulation and Xmodem and Ymodem transfers.

(BTW, I recomend against using Ymodem unless you are on a very small
board that has very few errors in transfers- Ymodem has no error
correcting, even if the manual for your modem says the modem does.)
