How old is the TWGS? The early boards were shipped with a ribbon
cable/connector that was not too robust - AE was replacing the cable on units
sent in for repair. A flaky cable would give the checkerboard pattern on the
screen on initial boot. The only way I know of to get a replacement cable now
would be through some people on GEnie (Bill Shuff?).
