Help: Retrospect demands to much diskspace !!

We have;
Server;  SS2 with SunOS 4.1.1 and EtherShare 2.2.0.
Client;  Macintosh LC II with 8 MB RAM, System 7.1 

When I do not have a _Storage-Set_ created on the file-server, Retrospect 
do always copy the whole Macintosh-disk, using a script that says
incremental......is this just the way R. work ?, or can I create a new 
StorageSet on the file-server that will contain just the changed files ?

If someone out there knows aboute other commersial/SW/PD etc.backup-
software for my purpose, please let me know !I have not found any other 
backup-sw that trigges automatic by a sceduler.
