              26 CHAPTER SERIES: "HISTORY OF THE APPLE ]["
              ============================================

I have had a request to transmit via e-mail the entire 26 chapter text file,
"HISTORY OF THE APPLE II."  The total space for this file is about one meg.
I plan to send it to the requestor in two chunks: 13 chapters on Saturday 
June 4
and 13 chapters on Sunday June 5th.

Send an e-mail message to me if you want this file beamed to your e-mail box
also, so it can be done simultaneously with others getting the same file.

Of course, this file is kept at some of the FTP internet sites, but not
everyone is fluent at downloading from FTP.  I have heard a rumor that
Chapter 15 is missing from the version held at the FTP sites, so if you
need Chapter 15 only, I can send it.  Chapter 15 is 31K in size.
Each chunk of 13 chapters is about 500K in length, so if you request it
you should download promptly so that your Unix buffer does not get filled.


The complete set of chapters is also available on four double-sided 5.25"
floppies.  These disks are installed with QUICKVIEW, a convenient screen-
reader for Appleworks files.  The disks are quickly self-booted with chapters
selected from a screen menu.  To get the QUICKVIEW version, send $1.50 to
cover the cost of the four disks and the postage.

I can also fit the 25 chapters on two 3.5" 800K disks.  Will try to copy
the QUICKVIEW booter also onto the 3.5" disks.  $1.50 will cover the two
disks with postage.
