To put it nicely, Bakkup is trash! (I'm talking new and improved 2.0 here).
The first time I did a HD->3.5 backup I had errors during the restore
which should not have happened (backup was verified). The restore was hours
after the backup also. The macros that you can pre-define are somewhat
of a joke (not all that powerful). The program can't restore files to
any directory you want (it creates a new directory tree structure
following the original pathname). The manual is _sorely_ lacking! It
can only backup to selected media (i.e. if you have a floptical don't
expect multi-floppy backups using Bakkup).
I'm ready to go back to Archiver :)
