The original system can be patched to run on a ][+ though I doubt that
a finished patch does exist. The main cause for incompatibility is that
the standard system (OPSYS) blindly assumes an Apple //e 80 column card
and accesses it in a way not conforming to Apple protocols. OPSYS also
has some annoying bugs.

If you install a 65c02 processor, Opix (a substitute for OPSYS) should
run just fine. You'll have to do some work still however to adapt it
to your video card; doing this is however documented.
