Is it really true that all signature editions were made before any plain IIgses
were made? I suspect that they were interspersed in the production until some
certain number were made, which I have always heard was 50000.
One thing for certain is there is no difference hardware wise in the Woz IIgses
whatsoever. They are the same as any other machine from that time. Of course,
all came with ROM 0.

First I'd go to a dealer and ask; if they give you the "me no know about Apple
II thing" routine, I'd call SOS-APPL and get a part number or whatever they
have for it then go back to the dealer with it. As a last resort I'd call
Alltech and order one. This is the last resort since they will want $29 for it
but it should be free from the dealer.

There's only one chip - you just pop it out and stick in the new one.

You won't be able to run sic 'em as far as current software goes with ROM 0.

ROM 0/01 IIgses will work with a mouse card if you really want to use one.
Possibly excepting naughty software that bypasses the tools and goes right
to the ADB controller.
