I haven't upgraded to version 4.x of AppleWorks yet.  AppleWorks 3 (after the
patch v.1.6.1?) is very stable.
 
I don't know when AWGS 2.0 is out, but it would be hard to imagine that it
could be any worse than version 1.1.
