Well, I'm using a LineLink with ProTerm 3.1's SupraFaxModem driver, and
have never had problems like you describe with weird cursor movements.
The only "weirdness" I've had has been using Lynx, but that was easily
correctable. Go to ProTerm's Misc menu. Check the Preference option, and
then check the More options. The part for 'Attributes to display in
Inverse', make sure you have Reverse and Underline (and only those two)
checked off.
Maybe changing those options will have an effect on the other
problems you're having?
To me, ProTerm's VT-100 emulation seems very solid and dependable.
