  Some people do not have the privilage of a _free_ Internet connection,
and must _pay_ to download your game using their _modem_.  These people
would rather not waste their time and money downloading a game that they
were not interested in, did not run on their particular Apple, etc.  It
is therefore common courtesy to post a short article describing the
contents of the file(s) you are posting to comp.sys.apple2.binaries so
that they can decide whether they want it or not.

  I cannot imagine that people are going to complain about brief but
concise text descriptions of binaries, since that would seem to me to
be _fair use_ of that newsgroup.  Just as posting descriptions of GIFs
and JPGs in the picture newsgroups is considered fair use (and very often
requested).  Just put the description in part 0 of the posting and be
done with it.
