help me out here....problem here.
Okay here's the situation.
I am in college surrounded by macs, ibms, nexts, and sunstations.
I will be going home for the summer and have a modem and access to
my unix accounts but it will cost me phone bills to use access my Unix
account.
There are some programs that I would like to get for my GS while I can
still get them for free...they are on my unix account now and I can get
them on disk through direct connection.
My problem is getting it on a disk so my GS can read and understand them.
I have no prodos disks w/ me...I left them all at home. I don't have
the latest system disk 6.0.1 (this is one of the programs I want to get
while I'm here...would be a long time to d/l through modem).
What can I possible do to get in on a disk readable by the GS without having
the latest system disk unshrunk.
I have access to a mac...any programs out there that format in prodos for the
mac? or any programs for the gs that can read mac disks? <-- can't be the
system disk because I'm trying to get that one through ftp.
thanks!
henry
ps Can the latest system disk read right off msdos disks? I don't care
about writing to them but rather if I got something on a msdos disk for the
GS and it was in binary format is there a program on the GS that would let me
copy that program and unshrinkit on a prodos disk?
