If the problem is that you have LF or CR-LF delimited lines, there
are a lot of shell utilities out there that will do the job.  Some
that come to mind are udl, conv, tr, lf2cr.

If you have the case where you have a CR-delimited text file that
you would like to reformat for a word processor (ie: CR's only come
at the end of paragraphs), then try the shell utility 'joinpara' that
I wrote.  It is smart enough to handle most reformatting correctly,
including some forms of lists.  It should be on grind or caltech.
