I understand the law, but I don't understand the reasoning behind it in this
instance. It seems that giving out copies of something that appeared in
a *magaine* in **1987** should not irk the authors too much. If someone
wanted to obtain a "legal" copy of it, they'd just go to the library and
HOPE they keep the mags back that far. It's not like they'd be getting
served by reading the ads in the mag, as 95% of them are so pitifully
dated that they are useless. IMHO, Compute! seems to have nothing to lose
by the distribution of this program. Comment is invited. Respond
personally for a reply, as I don't read this group as often as I might
like to.
