An unbelievable deal?

Check this out.  Dallas Morning News classifieds had an ad saying that 
a guy has Apple 2C's for sale for $25. Yes, twenty-five dollars.  So I 
call him and he tells me "yup, we have about 15-25 of these things; some 
are //c plus's.  We want $25 for the //c's, and $35 for the //c plus's.  
Oh, and we have UniDisk 3.5" drives for $25."

Now, before you all go writing to me for the name/phone, read on.

I called him at that point and asked him to hold one of each (//c plus 
and a unidisk, totalling $60) for me so I could drive down today 
(4/26/94) and pick it up.  I informed him that I would have to rent a 
car for the day and drive down, so I was committed to getting one from him.

Called him this morning (4/26/94) and was told that some guy from 
Shreveport bought EVERYTHING the guy had!  Can you imagine ? 

Now, I don't need any flames about "getting there sooner" or anything.  
But isn't $25-35 kinda low for a //c plus ?  (I KNOW $25 for a unidisk is 
pretty low!)
