I posted a few days ago about this. I also posted the solution to this
problem. I would have thought you would have seen it :)
The problem is that the vars editor does not eliminate the existing
string properly. To fix this, use a block editor (like block warden)
and examine the vars file. Find your init string and make sure it ends
with a 00 then an FF. You can then 00 out any remnants of the previous
init string following the FF.
This works just fine. I hope it helps you!
