Hang on... I got an easier way....

you say you get too many errors when you do a "rz" and Proterm
cancels......   I had exactly the same problem.  The way I solved it was
to login to the unix machine with a "rlogin" rather than a "telnet"....
after that, everything works perfectly!

You probably had the same problem trying to download stuff, and had to
use ZMODEM Resume all the time, right?  hehh..  ;)
