I don't think so. ProDOS is copyrighted by Apple Inc.
Just let the user decide if he/she wants a bootable system. I would
add a little "readme" file that explains how to make things bootable.
Leaving out the ProDOS file would save some disk space as well.

Please make as few assumptions as possible. There are so many
configurations out there.

Speaking of wishes, I would like to see KeyWin Write finished and
released.

Hey, of course! I'm especially interested in Easy Write. Please tell
me more about it. (Can it be launched from a shell? Does it follow the
ProDOS 8 protocol? Does it use 80 col display? Does it detect extra
RAM like an auxiliary 64K card or other RAM cards? Can I have more
than one file in memory? ...)
IMHO, the Apple II is lacking a good shareware/freeware text editor
that can be used for programming. AppleWriter/FreeWriter don't support
the ProDOS 8 protocol, so you can't say something like "edit foo.txt"
from a shell like Davex or ECP8. AppleWorks is much too large for such
a task (and it doesn't follow the protocol either). The only editor
that is suitable for text editing is AMACS, but it's quite large as
well.
