Apple Monitor /// problems

Just picked up an old "Apple Monitor ///" (anti-glare mesh, styled
for Apple III/III+ machines) a few weeks ago, and set up it to use with
my Apple //e. It seemed to work fine for awhile, but I after leaving it
on a couple of minutes the picture would start rolling and eventually shrink
into a thin horizontal line (centered in middle of the screen). I was
able to sometimes fix this by playing to the V-Hold, brightness and/or
screen-size controls in back -- sometimes hitting it would bring the picture
back to full size! :) Unfortunately, I just tried using it again today and
now it seems stuck with this problem no matter what I do. Nothing but a
thin-narrow line centered on screen (input is getting through though, it's
just compressed into a single scanline or two!). :/

Anyone know what's wrong or perhaps a cheap and simple way to fix
it? If there's any danger of high-voltage lurking inside (ie, a flyback
transformer or such), I think I'll just leave it to rest with my dead
AppleColor RGB IIgs monitor... ;-)
