I have a new High Speed (Apple) DMA SCSI card for my IIGS (2Meg RAM, Sys6.0.1,
Zip GSX 8/16k) hooked up to a SyQuest 44Meg removable (which SCREAMZ!) and an
internal Quantum 40Meg HD (which used to be in a Macintosh II). I just can't
get the Quantum to work! It works perfectly in a Mac, but not externally on my
IIGS! I've tried terminating it many different ways, having it alone in the
SCSI chain...nothing works! I have the SCSI card in Slot 6. Sometimes,
Advanced Disk Utilities (v1.2) says that there are 2 10Meg partitions (whose
initilization fails), and sometimes I have 0k used, 0k free. I had a 50Pin
ribbon SCSI to 50pin Centronics custom made, and power is being supplied by an
external power supply (the drive use indicator lights up when it is being
scanned). Block Warden returns errors on every block read I attempt (the light
flashes, though!). Any suggestions?
