Shareware Solutions II, Issue #5, should indeed be going out to subscribers
within the next few weeks. This time around, I can blame the IRS and their
April 15th deadline for the slight delay.
In any case, if you've been thinking about subscribing to Shareware
Solutions II, please be aware that the cost of a subscription will be going
up as of May 1, 1994. There will be 2 different options available. One will
be the availability of a standard one year, 6 issue subscription, and the
other will be a 2 year, 12 issue subscrition that starts with the premiere
issue and runs through mid-Summer, 1995. The one year subscription will
start with the current issue.
Although I have decided on the rates for US and Canada ($20 for 1 year, $35
for 2 year), I haven't quite factored in all the costs for International
rates. I will, soon.
So, between now and May 1st, you can still take advantage of the absurdly
low introductory rate. That is a full 2 year, 12 issue subscription,
beginning with the premiere issue. Until May 1, that is $25 for US and
Canada, or $40 for International. All copies are mailed by air mail.

Each issue of Shareware Solutions II contains information about the Apple
II in an easy to understand format that has been praised by Apple II
novices and "power users" galore. According to a review in the March, 1994
newsletter of the Denver Apple Pi, "I have found his first 4 issues to be
very informative and written in an understandable format. I'm almost into
overload with the information he offers. I encourage any of you to give
Shareware Solutions II a try, as it is really encouraging to see our
favorite computer supported by a knowledgeable person with good information
and programs."
Enthusiasm for Shareware Solutions II abounds. Chris Komar says, "I was
overwhelmed by how much support and material there is available out
there for the GS! I had given up hope. Well, the sky has opened and the
angels are singing." Dr Peter Stark, President of the British Apple IIGS
User Group says, "I found the contents well written, and very interesting
and informative." Bill Ingraham says, "Shareware Solutions II continues to
be great, just what I want to keep me up to date on what's happening in the
world of the IIGS." Michael Lavorgna says, " The first two issues of your
newsletter have been an impressively succinct and complete source of
information about what's going on in the Apple II world, and you have
helped to increase my confidence in sticking with the IIGS."
