RAMFast help?
I guess I can call Sequential's 800 number and ask Jawaid about this, but I
figured I'd give you all a shot at it first. :)
Tonight i tried to boot up my IIgs after a few days of inactivity, but my
RAMFast came back with "Invalid Configuration Data" after searching the SCSI
bus for 45 seconds, and even though it seemed to find a device at the ID of
my hard drive, it failed to see my tape drive, and when I tried to fiddle
with the information on my hard drive, it wouldn't accept anything. In the
SCSI Utils, it showed garbage for the drive type, too... But it did have the
correct interleave (1:1).
I've tried everything I could think of...with and without the tape drive,
with and without the RAMFast supplying term power...switched slots, changed
drive ID, tried external termination on the drive (though I believe the
drive, itself, is already terminated)...
Any clues? I discovered that I had had the card set for a ROM 01 motherboard,
when it's been in a ROM 03 for a few months, now... I had this happen with my
/other/ RAMFast in this same machine, but with a different drive... Both of
my RAMFasts are doing the same thing with this drive, right now, though...
