Re: How to create animation?

In Article #70844 ltchean@iss.nus.sg (Lim Thye Chean) bellowed:

:I wished to create a series of animations for GS. I have downloaded the
:fli files, used FliAway to create the flames... then...
:
:1) In SuperConvert, what format should I SAVE the converted flames into?
:2) What programs can I use to create the paintworks animation? I have
: DreamGrafix, Platinum Paint 1.0 and DeluxePaint II and can't find anyway
: to create it.
:
:Thanks. Actually, to some bright guys out there, a fli->paintworks animation
:or mpeg->paintworks animations converters will be damn cool. GS is too slow
:for real time stuff, but fast enough for the above converters.

Select the Create Animation or Compress option in Paintworks. Make sure you
save each 'cel' or part of animation in a file called (name).0xx (like
name.01,name.02). When PP or DG or whatever asks for the first frame or
file in the animation, select .01 or .001 or .000 whatever and it will make
the animation. Set the speed to whatever you like, both Dream Grafix and
Platinum Paint will let you change the speed if you don't like it.

FLIaway will convert frames from many FLI animations, and each frame it
saves must then be converted by SuperConvert into IIGS format (using
16 colors and 320x200). After converting each frame, go ahead and compress
it with PP or DG.

If you want to see an example of FLIaway's work, check out my buzzbuzzbee
converted animation.

Hope that Helps!
