The Apple II Desktop debuted with the IIgs; the latest version, 1.1, came
with system software 1.1 which shipped with my IIgs.

Other way around. Mousedesk was originally a product of the long-defunct
International Solutions, who also put out Mouseword and Mousecalc. Apple
turned it into Desktop to make up for the lack of a finder in the beginning.
