The Revision C ROM upgrade was free from any Apple dealer.  I don't
know if it is still available in the USA, let alone Australia.

I got my Rev A card upgraded to a Rev C back in 1988 (in New Zealand),
then bought the High-speed SCSI card when it came out.

As far as I know, GS/OS doesn't actually use the ROM on the card (apart
from during the boot process), so it may be OK.  I would definitely
recommend upgrading it, though, particularly if you use the card from
ProDOS-8.  One thing to watch out for: the EJECT command reformats
disks in Rev A and B!!!

Rev B doesn't support CD-ROM drives, if I remember rightly.
